Microsoft released a new file recovery tool which can be used to retrieve deleted files or get back documents from formatted or corrupted drives. Microsoft Windows File Recovery is a free tool in the Microsoft store to restore missing data for a number of factors. The control row tool is used to access data and removable media such as USB disks and memory cards from local hard disks.

Because this is not a native Windows program but instead as a command line tool, Window File Recovery does not work for anyone. Modes Of Microsoft Windows File Recovery tool
Default mode. The Master File Table (MFT) mode uses this mode to find lost files. The default mode functions when the File Record Segment (FRS) is present, MFT and file segments.
Segment mode. This mode requires not the MFT but segments. Segments are description of information stored by NTFS in the MFT, such as the cluster / allotment unit index, name , date, size , type and cluster.
Signature mode. This mode requires that the data are present and the file types are scanned. For small files, it doesn’t work. You can only use signature mode to retrieve a file on an external storage device, like a USB drive.
